The Cairns Underwater Film Festival is now in its 8th successive year, in 2013 the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre, Minke Whale Project and The Tangaroa Blue Foundation were the funding recipients. The event is staged by a volunteer board and run as a not for profit organisation, giving back to the local community.
Cairns Underwater Film Festival is all about celebrating the underwater world and getting out there: enjoying it, minimising our impact and preserving it for future.
Each year Cairns Underwater Film Festival puts its profits back into the marine environment through local projects and organisations, in 2012 the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre and the Minke Whale Project were the funding recipients. Read more about who we support.
